Roche and surrounding area

Roche village is conveniently located in the centre of the county, just one mile from the main A30, a mere one hour's drive to Exeter and the M5 and within easy reach of all the other beautiful parts of the county.

The village of Roche, which nestles beneath the famous landmark known as ’Roche Rock’, has a range of village shops, including post office, a modern doctor’s surgery, a local school and two village inns. There are many picturesque lanes around the village, making pleasant walks.

Roche is a short distance from the town of St. Austell, world famous for it’s china clay, and offers a range of entertainment including a recreation centre, modern shopping centre and two 18 hole golf courses, one of which overlooks St. Austell Bay with it’s breathtaking views and the historic port of Charlestown.
